I write here to help myself on my journey. I don't have a lot of insights, maybe it will be enough to let you know you are not alone on yours.

The overwhelming sorrow that hit our nation on this day is never going to be forgotten, like Pearl Harbor it will forever be etched in our memories. What I see everyday is the flag of our country as in our National Anthem, "still waving", A proud country, a healing country! For every flag I did get a shot of there were at least 5 I didn't. In my community at least, they are on our homes and many many of our businesses, on cars, on bicycles, motorcycles, boats, everywhere. We are strong in that we believe.
There are many heroes of that day, many victims, we each have had to grieve in our own time and way. I cannot fathom the pain of the families of the initial attacks; I can feel the pain of a wounded country. We will rise from the ashes of this attack and recover our footing, it takes time and work, we are not there yet, but we will be.
